People Hate Discomfort and Chaos
Imagine this: you’re hosting an outdoor event. It’s going to be fun. People will laugh and remember the day. The property is beautiful, the food is tasty, and the music is perfect. Wait . . . there’s a problem. There’s a long line of people who are staring at the ground, holding their crotches, looking up at the sky thinking when they can go to the bathroom. Some people leave early. Others are mad. Everything you planned goes down the tubes because you didn’t provide adequate toilet facilities.
The simple solution is to provide porta-potties. But do you really need them or are they an unnecessary expense? Let’s talk about it.
Why Portable Toilets Are a Must
We understand because we’re in the business of creating portable and modular solutions at CubiNest. We know how important
it is to make your event more comfortable. We understand how important it is to make sure that event is convenient for you and the people who are attending it. We’ve got experience. We’ve manufactured different types of mobile facilities that we’ve put into play for companies all over the place. Here’s what we know. We’ve seen how having the right setup or the wrong setup will make or break your event.
So now to the point of why we’re addressing the question I put forward earlier. Are portable toilets a must-have solution for your event?
Why You Need to Rent Portable Toilets
Almost every time you host a gathering outdoors or some variation of a large-scale event, renting portable toilets is crucial. Here’s why:
1. Guest Comfort and Convenience
- Access: Renting portable toilets guarantees all of your guests have access to a clean and operating restroom facility, which is really important, especially when some of your events are a length of time or in the middle of nowhere.
- No (or Shorter) Lines: When you decide to place enough toilets, you can reduce or eliminate long lines, and that makes sure people don’t get frustrated so they enjoy the event more. If there are inadequate facilities, the lines in front of the restroom can ruin everybody’s good time, especially at that key time during your event.
2. Flexibility for Your Venue
- Have Your Event Anywhere: When you rent portable toilets, you can host an event in a variety of locations, including those that have no permanent restroom facilities. This freedom means you can pick a unique venue, like at a park, a beach, or out in the country somewhere.
- Not in the Way: You can place the portable toilets without having them get in the way of having your venue laid out how you want it. You don’t have to have permanent infrastructure.
3. You Save Money
- It’s Cheap: Renting portable toilets is a whole lot cheaper than it is to build permanent restroom facilities for an event that’s only going to last a few hours.
- One Less Thing to Worry About: Most of the time, the companies that rent you the portable toilets take care of getting them there, set them up, maintain them while they are there, and then clean them up when you’re done. That means you have one less thing to worry about when you’re having your event.
4. Health and Hygiene
- They’re Clean: After being married to a woman who you’d have to consider the most germophobic person you know, portable toilets have come a long, long way. They’re almost like the setup that you would have in somebody’s home now. You can’t even tell a difference.
- Help You Stick to the Rules: One other very important thing to consider is there are laws in your area that require you to have a certain number of toilet facilities based upon the number of people who are at your event. When you rent portable toilets, you know you’re going to be okay with the law. That ultimately ties into the topic we were just talking about. You’re saving yourself a boatload of potential fines. Moreover, it’s nice not to have to go through all of the stress and frustration that come with dealing with the sheer logistics of having enough toilets.
But let’s keep going because, even though portable toilets are extremely important, one of the biggest problems that event organizers run into is managing them. Again, we’ll talk about that next. We’ll get into some of the most common pain points people have and then we’ll talk about strategies you can use to make sure you are as efficient as possible and your guests have a clean and tidy place to… you know, go pee.
Common Questions We Hear About Portable Toilet Systems
1. What’s Wrong with Portable Toilets?
You’ve put up with the stink, the germs, the long lines, and the arguments about there not being enough to go around. I get it. It’s frustrating. But it’s likely nobody’s fault but our own because we didn’t do a little planning. When you have the right setup or the wrong setup (like these guys), it can dramatically impact the quality and the perceived quality of your event. Let’s be honest, not everybody is in love with using a portable toilet.
2. How Can You Keep Your Units Clean?
- Clean Them Throughout Your Event: Make sure you rent a company that cleans your portable toilet. Get them over to your event and clean your units a number of times throughout the day. Make sure they refuel, restock supplies, and get rid of any waste.
- Stock ‘Em Up: Any unit you have out there needs to have the supplies inside, the toilet paper, the hand sanitizer, the soap, and all the things they need.
- Ventilation: If they stink, nobody’s going to want to use them again. Make certain all of the units you secure have great ventilation and solid air control.
3. What Kind of Portable Toilets Do I Need for My Event?
- Go basic:
- If you’re throwing a birthday party or similar event, go with the basic, basic model. That’s perfect for what you need. What’s the next kind of party? That is kid’s party. What kind of kids? That’s think eight- or nine-year-old girls. What kind of toilet do they need? They need a luxury unit. It’s perfect. They can go in there; they can fix their hair. It’s got a flushingkind of toilet. Just fantastic. You can get a kid’s deluxe toilet. Do you need something fancy in pink? I swear you can find one probably.
- You have a lot of glitzy kind of parties with well-to-do people. You will need a fancy toilet. I’ll call it a luxury unit. It’s great. We have mirrored ceilings, a bidet set-up inside, and a high-dollar sink, along with a private restroom.
- High-standard: ADA compliant. Do realize that if you have a certain number of porta-potties, you are going to need to have a certain number of toilets that are ADA compliant. What that means is they’re handicapped accessible. They’re really easy to find and rent those as well.
- It’s ridiculous not to rent an eco-friendly unit. What we’ve got to do as conservationists is make sure we take a stand by getting toilets that are eco-friendly. They have to be good to Mother Earth. Speaking of Mother Earth, you’ve got to think about the fact that some people are going to attend your event who are all about their organic lifestyle. They’re all about recycling and growing their own food, so we have to pander to this group of people. You’re not going to be happy if they walk out thinking that you’re the reason the world is going to heck in a handbasket. Get eco-friendly units.
4. How Many Toilets Will You Need?
First of all, you need a head count. To make it simple, let’s say that the company you can rent porta-potties only comes in intervals of a hundred. Here’s the simple way to figure this out. Less than a hundred porta-potties: Don’t have a big argument, because you only will need two. That’s why these are great guidelines. Two will be great. Three will be better. So, make sure you go with that.
There are a number of things you have to think about since you’re only at one hundred. For every increase of fifty people, you go up in a toilet required. What this means is if you have an event of ten thousand people, you need at least two hundred and fifty toilets. Ideally, you would be at two hundred and fifty. If you’re on the lower end and not everybody in the world decides to pee all at the same time, you’re going to be in great shape with that.
Next thing. How long is your event is going to last? You have to have enough toilets. What’s going to happen? The longer your event goes on, the more of these bad boys you’re going to have out at your event. Also, keep in mind that if you’re serving alcohol, people are going to need to use the restroom. A lot of times, they may not want to, but they are going to. So, make certain you have enough toilets for when they do need to go. When you have enough, that means, like normal people, they don’t have to wait and they can get back to enjoying themselves.
You’re probably also curious to see what’s going on in the world. Certain things don’t come with that. You don’t want to just throw that at them. If you do rent eco-friendly toilets, a lot of people in this world think that’s a fantastic thing. I mean, think about certain people you might be inviting to your event. If you don’t go organic yourself, you still need to let these people know they are welcome at your event. So, when you throw out green, eco-friendly portable toilets, you’ll score big points and people will thank you.l
So renting from the company who can rent these things to you, make certain they’re eco-friendly. The cool thing about it is most companies are now going green with their units, so you’re really going to be in good shape.
100 toilets: Great. Less than that, have a little argument. You need at least two because two are great. The more toilets you have, the happier everybody is going to be at your party.
